Building Custodian
Under close supervision, this position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of buildings or areas. Duties include picking up trash, sweeping, vacuuming and mopping floors, cleaning and restocking bathrooms, cleaning windows, and executing minor repairs and maintenance work. Depending on the role, custodians may be required to operate industrial cleaning equipment and machinery. This position may involve working outdoors, in various weather conditions, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends.
Responsibilities
- Use cleaning supplies and equipment to keep the interior and exterior of the building looking clean and professional
- Perform routine cleaning tasks based on a schedule created by the facility management team
- Help maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
- Adhere to the company's safety policies to create a safe work environment for everyone
- Help maintain user manuals for cleaning equipment, office furniture, and fixtures
- Respond to general assembly and repair requests quickly and professionally
- Perform other related duties as required or assigned
Requirements
- Minimum 17 years of age and a high school diploma or GED, or currently enrolled in a high school program in good standing, or one to two years of general building maintenance experience
- Ability to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends if needed
- Ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds
- Ability to wear appropriate work attire (protective gear/PPE)

- High school diploma with 1-2 years of janitorial/building maintenance experience

Pay
The expected starting pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.63 per hour. Compensation factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the company’s bonus and incentive plans.
Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates located outside a 50-mile radius of the job.
