Building Construction Superintendents - CT
About the role
O&G Industries, Inc. is seeking Building Construction Superintendents to join their growing team. Based in Torrington, CT, they have been delivering significant construction projects for over 100 years, including schools, higher education facilities, municipal buildings, healthcare campuses, and commercial developments.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily field operations on assigned construction projects
- Cookordinate subcontractors, materials, and equipment to maintain schedule and productivity
- Ensure work meets quality standards, contract documents, and project specifications
- Promote and enforce jobsite safety and OSHA compliance
- Maintain clean, organized, and efficient job sites
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and project teams to achieve on-time, on-budget delivery
- Implement Lean construction practices to improve efficiency and workflow
Requirements
- 3–7 years of building construction experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- A strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, contract documents, and field operations
- A knowledge of construction scheduling, planning, and cost control
- The ability to manage crews and subcontractors in a fast-paced environment
- A demonstrated commitment to safety (OSHA 10 required, OSHA 30 preferred)
