Building Automation Systems Estimator

Responsibilities

• Utilize computer estimating systems and related software to accurately estimate plan/spec and design/build HVAC systems.
• Maintain comprehensive estimating logs and unit costs for all projects.
• Establish and nurture vendor relationships crucial to project success.
• Conduct site surveys and participate in pre-bid walkthroughs to ensure thorough project understanding.
• Collaborate closely with sales and project management teams to ensure projects are executed within budget and in alignment with plans and specifications.

This is an in-office position in Ballston Spa, NY.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in business or engineering.
• 0-2 years of estimating experience in the HVAC industry with a proven track record is strongly recommended.
• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and other construction documents.
• Knowledge of different types of HVAC systems and their components.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Thorough understanding of related trades for coordinating various project estimates.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and proficient computer skills.
