About the role
The Building Automation Systems (BAS) Programmer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining building automation systems using Niagara software. This position requires a strong background in programming and a security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement building automation systems using Niagara software
- Develop and maintain control logic for HVAC, lighting, and security systems
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure system integration and functionality
- Perform system testing and debugging to ensure reliability and efficiency
- Document system design and configuration for future reference and maintenance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in building automation systems programming
- Strong knowledge of Niagara 4 software and its associated tools
- Experience with security systems and access control
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Security clearance required
Qualifications
- Proficiency in C#, Python, or similar programming languages
- Experience with SQL databases
- Knowledge of PLCs and their integration with building automation systems
- Understanding of building energy management systems (BEMS)
