Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree, recommended 10+ years of Commercial BAS experience with proven success
- Strong financial acumen
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage a team
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and currently maintain a safe driving record as required by the company’s insurance provider
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Continually builds and maintains a network of industry contacts and supports company recruiting efforts
- Hiring, onboarding, and managing new BAS Project Sales Reps (PSRs) for all locations
- Co-authoring and following up on Associate Development Plans (ADPs) for assigned personnel
- Conducting annual performance evaluations for assigned personnel
- Using sales tools (CRM, Sharepoint, proposal templates, estimate workbooks, etc.) with a high level of proficiency
- Maintaining current labor rates, material pricing, vendor costs, and estimating software databases
- Training team members in the use of sales tools and holding them accountable for adoption and consistent usage
- Redeeming the BAS project sales plans in each HMS location annually
- Training PSRs to become fully qualified in all steps of the Haynes project sales cycle
- Leading strategic sales initiatives using Challenger selling concepts, Gap Selling principles, financing, bundled solutions, etc.
- Building and maintaining long-term business relationships that lead to future project sales opportunities
- Collaborating and communicating with GM’s and operational leaders in each HMS location
- Promoting strong working relationships between Operations and Sales
- Providing solutions to business needs and communicating financial and business implications to upper management
- Maximizing sales through assisting customers in the selection and purchase of Building Automation products and services
- Maintaining knowledge and insights into the geographical markets assigned
- Effectively qualifying prospects and/or opportunities within assigned accounts
- Conducting sales presentations to influence customers to buy
- Understanding the customer’s organization and decision-making process to commit the prospect to a decision-making timetable
- Using vertical market strategies and understanding market forces to find opportunities within the existing customer base
- Retaining the existing customer base by providing high-level customer service and meeting the customer’s needs
- Ensuring a smooth sale to operations turnover
Compensation
- Base: $115,000-$125,000/yr, + monthly and annual bonus eligibility
- + monthly car allowance
- + uncapped commissions
- On-Target Earnings: $270,000+
