Essential Duties

  • Picks up trash and/or litter from University buildings and grounds
  • Empties trash receptacles
  • Sweeps and mops rooms and hallways
  • Dusts and performs general cleaning of rooms
  • Cleans windows
  • Vacuums and shampoos carpets
  • Strips and waxes floors
  • Cleans and sanitizes restrooms
  • Mows, trims, and rakes grounds
  • Removes shrubs and trees
  • Pick up and/or deliver equipment and supplies
  • Performs cleaning/washing duties in dining hall dishroom or pot and pan area

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • No experience required
  • May require driver's license

Additional Position Information

  • Working Conditions: Constant simple grasping, frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, stooping, use of motor skills that require firm grasping, fine manipulation, and pinching. Occasional squatting, kneeling, crawling, and climbing. Frequent lifting of materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Occasional overhead lifting of materials weighing up to 30 pounds. Minimal lifting and carrying/transporting materials weighing up to 70 pounds.
