About the role

The Build Systems Engineer - DevOps will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining build systems and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. This individual will work closely with development teams to ensure that build processes are efficient, reliable, and scalable.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement build systems using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or others.
• Maintain and optimize existing CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with development teams to understand their needs and integrate build processes effectively.
• Develop and maintain documentation for build systems and CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor build systems and pipelines for performance and reliability issues.
• Stay current with new technologies and best practices in build systems and CI/CD.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in software engineering or related fields.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and methodologies.
• Strong understanding of version control systems (Git).
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Knowledge of build automation tools (Maven, Gradle).
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (Ansible, Terraform).
• Experience with testing frameworks (JUnit, PyTest).
