Devops / Systems Engineer
About the role
The Devops / Systems Engineer will join the Cloud Automation Advancements Team at Leidos. The ideal candidate must have an active TS security clearance and 4+ years of relevant experience or a combination of 4 years of experience and a Master’s degree. Key responsibilities include implementing new and innovative systems using web, remote desktop, and cloud technologies.
Responsibilities
- Standing up and maintaining Windows Servers in cloud environments
- Deploying and maintaining custom code, COTS, and GOTS to those environments
- Leading systems administration and Devops activities
- Developing and managing CI/CD pipelines
- Writing, maintaining, and describing architecture diagrams
- Using AWS services and technologies such as CloudFormation, S3, ECS, EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, Load Balancing, Autoscaling
- Tracing, configuring, and deploying Docker containers
- Developing web applications with Python
Requirements
Requires an active Top Secret Security Clearance with ability to obtain SCI post-hire. Must have experience with cloud/Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems, System design and architecture, custom code development/reviews, DevSecOps methodologies and workflow, and troubleshooting, configuring, and deploying Docker containers. Proactive self-starter with excellent oral and written communication skills and good attention to detail.
Qualifications
- BS in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or closely related discipline with 4+ years of relevant experience
- Masters with 2+ years of relevant experience
- 4 years of experience in lieu of degree
Skills
- ArcGIS or geospatial technologies experience
- Experience with AWS Serverless architectures (Lambda, API Gateway, Load Balancing, Autoscaling)
- Team collaboration tools and administration (Jira, Confluence, RocketChat)
- Microsoft and/or AWS certifications

Pay
$87,100.00 - $157,450.00
Schedule
Program core hours are 9am-3pm ET. Occasional evening or weekend work can be required. When required, schedule changes will be arranged.
