About the role
Consistently prepares breakfast, lunch, dinner or hors d'oeuvres to standards established by the Executive Chef. Ensures that work area is kept clean and orderly. Must be able to stand for a full shift. Exhibits a friendly, helpful and courteous manner when dealing with customers and fellow team members. Performs any and all duties as assigned by a supervisor or member of management.

Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- Knowledge and ability to use all kitchen tools and equipment
- High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
- Basic arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Knowledge of weights, measures, and recipe yield
- Ability to follow detailed written or oral instructions
- Ability to identify all products used in kitchen operations
- Ability to recognize spoiled or questionable products
- Ability to read, comprehend, and execute recipes
- Ability to successfully complete Cook I tests
- Apprentice certification preferred

- Standing for extended periods
- Manual dexterity for handling kitchen tools and equipment
- Verbal communication with customers and team members
- Close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus
- Lifting and moving up to 50 pounds
- Occasional walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
Work Environment

Must successfully complete ServSafe Alcohol training certification course.
