About the role

We are seeking a Budget Analyst to support a large portfolio of capital Transmission Line and Substation projects. This individual will partner with Project Managers, Construction teams, and Budget Analysts to provide financial planning, forecasting, project setup, accrual management, and reporting support across a complex and fast-paced project environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and monthly financial reporting for capital transmission and substation projects.
  • Prepare and manage monthly accruals, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial requirements.
  • Assist with project initiation, project setup, and ongoing financial tracking for new and existing capital projects.
  • Respond to ad hoc financial and reporting requests from project teams and leadership.
  • Partner with over 50 Project Managers and cross-functional stakeholders, including Engineering, Construction, and Finance.
  • Support financial processes within PowerPlan, Oracle, and future SAP environments.

Qualifications

  • 2-5+ years of experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, project controls, or related disciplines.
  • Experience supporting capital projects, construction programs, or utility operations preferred.
  • Understanding of project financial management, forecasting, and accrual processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage a high volume of work with accuracy.
  • Self-driven, adaptable, and able to shift priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Utility industry experience is a plus.
  • Degree preferred but not required.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience supporting transmission, substation, construction, or infrastructure projects.
  • Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly during technology transitions.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment while coordinating with multiple stakeholder groups.
