About the role
The Fiscal, Contracting, Compliance and Operations Branch (FCCO) within the Prevention Services Division (PSD) provides support to all programs within the Division. This includes fiscal management and oversight, procurement and contracting development and oversight, compliance monitoring, and operations support.
Responsibilities
- Budget Development and Monitoring: Advise Program Leadership on budget development and monitoring, ensuring alignment with programmatic needs.
- CORE Transaction and Data Maintenance: Perform transaction and data maintenance tasks using CORE or similar financial systems.
- Program Budgets: Provide supporting analysis to negotiate budget outcomes and prepare budget data and analysis for submission to OSPB and JBC.
- Fiscal Notes Preparation: Assist in preparing fiscal notes for legislative council staff on pending legislation.
- Other Financial Responsibilities: Handle other financial responsibilities as assigned, such as tracking and reconciling financial information.
Requirements
- Residency Requirement: Minimum Qualifications: Residents of the State of Colorado at the time of submitting your application.
- Work Experience: Six (6) years of professional experience working as an accountant, budget analyst, financial analyst, bookkeeper, or another closely related field.
- Education: A combination of related education and experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university in accounting, finance, math, business, or a field of study closely related to the work assignment, and professional experience as an accountant, budget analyst, financial analyst, bookkeeper, or another closely related field equal to Six (6) years.

- Public Sector Budgeting Experience: Knowledge of fiscal regulations.
- Financial Analysis and Forecasting: Experience with financial analysis and forecasting.
- Grant Lifecycle Management: Ability to manage the grant lifecycle.
- Problem-Solving and Independent Judgment: Strong problem-solving and independent judgment skills.
- Collaborative Teamwork: Proficiency working collaboratively with internal teams.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills to set, track, and accomplish priorities and goals.
