About the role

The right mixture of great ideas and funding can create change. In a complex organization, allocating funding to where it can be most effective can be challenging. That’s why we need you, a financial analyst who can easily navigate the requirements, policies, and regulations that govern funding, to make sure the Department of Defense’s resources can make the most impact.

Responsibilities

  • Create a financial management strategy to help science and technology portfolios succeed.
  • Work with project management, and task leads to develop an actionable plan for your client to secure the funding needed to achieve their goals.
  • Use your knowledge of laws, regulations, and policies to help your client develop well-formed requirements.
  • Ensure the funding is used efficiently through consistent tracking and communication with project management and task leads.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in project management, contract management, financial management, and budgeting.
  • Experience working with SAP's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) financial system.
  • Experience with commercial software packages, financial databases, and web or database applications, including Microsoft Office and MS Excel.
  • Ability to communicate and effectively address complex issues both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Organize, coordinate, and conduct meetings.
  • Clearance: Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or GED.
  • Nice if you have: Experience working with ONR financial processes, procedures and financial systems, including Navy ERP; Knowledge of S&T portfolios; Bachelor's degree.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and MS Excel.
  • Understanding of financial management principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and policies.

Pay

The projected compensation range for this position is $69,400.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD).

This position is available as remote, hybrid, or onsite, depending on the specific role and customer requirements.
