Budget Analyst #6 IN-HOUSE VACANCY - INTERNAL CANDIDATES ONLY
About the role
The Budget Analyst position within Stockton Unified School District (SUSD) is designed for individuals with a strong background in accounting and business. This role is critical in managing financial resources and ensuring efficient budgeting processes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain financial reports and analyses
- Prepare and analyze budgets, forecasts, and variance reports
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements and ensure compliance with financial regulations
- Manage and monitor expenditures to ensure alignment with approved budgets
- Collaborate with other departments to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve efficiency
- Support the development and implementation of financial strategies aligned with district goals
Requirements / Qualifications
- Associate of Arts degree or course work in business at the college level
- Experience and training equivalent to three (3) years in the accounting and business field with at least two (2) years in a highly responsible position in special projects
