About the role

Banner Thunderbird Medical Center (BTMC) is a high-volume cardiac center located in Mesa, Arizona. The facility specializes in various cardiac procedures including angioplasty, stent placement, and structural heart repairs.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and standards of professional nursing practice.
• Plans and coordinates care for patients in the cardiac catheterization lab, including procedural sedation and monitoring.
• Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to develop and revise the plan of care based on patient needs and evaluations.
• Delegates tasks to other licensed nurses and healthcare team members as appropriate.
• Evaluates patient progress and effectiveness of teaching, making adjustments as necessary.
• Communicates effectively with other healthcare providers and staff regarding patient care.
• Participates in research and contributes to improving patient outcomes through evidence-based practices.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as an RN in a cardiac or pulmonary setting.
• BLS certification, with ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license, or compact RN licensure.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• Professional certification in nursing preferred.

Skills

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to handle stressful situations and prioritize tasks.
• Knowledge of cardiac procedures and patient care protocols.
