Essential Functions
- Manage a wholesale/retail store selling products to government personnel and other publics as appropriate.
- Establish and maintain customer relations that enhance the mission and image of Alphapointe.
- Aid in securing products from affiliated National Industries for the AbilityOne Program, General Services Administration, Defense Logistics Agencies, and other suppliers in accordance with Alphapointe's established buying guidelines.
- Plan and prepare work schedules, assigning employees to specific duties.
- Aid in the formulation of pricing policies on merchandise according to the requirements for profitability of store operations.
- Cook up and execute sales promotion activities and prepare merchandise displays.
- Supervise employees engaged in sales work, inventories, reconciling sales receipts, record keeping, and accounting transactions.
- Ensure merchandise is ordered timely in the correct quantity to replenish on hand stock.
- Ensure compliance of employees with established security, sales, and record keeping procedures.
- Resolve customer problems to include complaints and inquiries.
- Perform duties as Store Manager and other duties as directed.
Additional Functions
- Perform work of subordinates as needed.
- Attend conferences, in-service training, and other functions as required.
Knowledge And Skill Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Experience in buying, planning, and scheduling preferred.
- General office experience or training.
- Three years experience in store management.
- Knowledgeable of basic laws and regulations governing federal facilities.
- Knowledge of AbilityOne Program, Federal Acquisition Regulations, and Alphapointe policies, preferred.
- General knowledge of office equipment and machines, including computer terminal and desktop computer.
- Ability to deal pleasantly and courteously with management, customers, and co-workers, by telephone, written correspondence, and in person.
- Ability to work as a member of a team.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
