About the role
Support the design and execution of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)/Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) compliance programs.
Responsibilities
- Assist with transaction monitoring, investigations, data analysis, identification of trends and patterns.
- Perform systems testing, tuning, and developing innovative compliance solutions.
- Identify and manage risk, facilitate engagement decisions, and enhance compliance programs.
- Understand BSA/AML/OFAC regulatory requirements and apply them to our business model to ensure effective execution of the program.
- Prepare reports that meet internal and regulatory standards.
- Communicate clearly with bankers and customers during investigations and monitoring efforts; educate and advise lines of business to ensure full compliance.
- Participate in assigned compliance projects.
- Assist in the development of new business for Firstrust by identifying customer/prospect needs and directing them to appropriate personnel.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of banking experience required; background or experience in accounting a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of BSA/AML/OFAC and related regulations.
- Well organized and detail oriented.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent time management, communications, and interpersonal skills.
- Intermediate knowledge of Miser, Abrigo, LexisNexis, Microsoft Office, and Teams.
Qualifications
Desired qualifications include financial expertise, investigative nature, knowledge of banking regulations, familiarity with financial crimes, interview techniques, investigative practices, and the ability to develop and present reports.
Physical and Sensory Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Prolonged periods of working independently.
Schedule
Hybrid: 4 days in office, 1 day work from home. Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM.
