About the Role
We're looking for part-time faculty who bring warmth, empathy, and genuine care to online teaching. You'll guide students through their learning, provide thoughtful feedback, and build meaningful connections through clear, timely communication. You'll work in a community that values students and faculty equally—where respect, support, and human connection come first.

Our Students

Responsibilities
- Engage in your classroom at least 4 days per week
- Facilitate discussion board conversations
- Assess student work with caring, timely feedback
- Be available via video or phone when needed
- Create a supportive virtual classroom where students feel safe
- Occasionally collaborate on developing course content
- Serve on committees
- Support college needs or course maintenance
- Collaborate with colleagues on faculty-led and leadership-directed projects
Training & Support
You'll receive training in the pedagogy of online teaching, our learning management system, and university policies. You'll be paired with a peer mentor starting with your first teaching assignment.
Requirements
- Master's degree in the discipline being taught or a closely related field (required)
- Three or more years of postsecondary teaching experience (preferred)
- Experience teaching adult learners, particularly in a community college setting (strongly preferred)
- Experience teaching in an online or distance-learning environment (preferred)

Pay
Graduate Course Instruction: $1,560 - $4,080 per quarter or semester, depending on type of course taught and length of course
Undergraduate Course Instruction: $700 - $2,200 per quarter, depending on type of course taught and length of course
Actual pay may be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as type of course taught; experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
Additional opportunities for contributing faculty members include dissertation/doctoral study committee chair positions, research reviewing, and dissertation and doctoral study mentoring.
