General Summary

Responsible for leading the administrative direction for new and expanding ambulatory operations for the Cardiovascular Service Line. Develops and monitors programs by identifying strategies and collaborating with business development on growth opportunities. Monitors regional referral and financial performance. Responsible for executing and fostering effective collaboration between outpatient and inpatient facilities, medical staff leadership, and other affiliated services to ensure an integrated approach to providing efficient, cost-effective services and fulfilling the system's clinical transformation goals and strategic growth objectives.

Effectively resolves the clinical concerns of patients, families, and physicians. Develops and implements action plans to optimize patient, staff, and physician satisfaction and engagement. Serves as an effective liaison for providers and staff with problem-solving issues concerning nursing staff and patient care. Plans, organizes, executes, and monitors the resources of the organization to ensure optimal health outcomes and effective quality and cost controls. Assists in preparation of budgets and recommends funding based on thorough knowledge of services, costs, and operating procedures. Works with CFO to ensure successful financial operations. Works with leaders and staff to assure expenses are within budget parameters; reviews and analyzes budget and other management reports and takes action as needed to ensure effective and efficient operations. Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies governing healthcare delivery and the rules of accreditation bodies; oversees monitoring and reporting of such requirements and initiates any quality improvements. Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise. Participates in meetings, committees, and department projects as assigned. Performs other related projects and duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field or business administration required.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Five (5) years of related experience with a healthcare service line in an administrative leadership or clinical leadership role with significant business impact is required.
  • Prior clinical experience in cardiac and vascular is preferred.
  • Current Registered Nurse licensure from the State of Nebraska or approved compact state of residence as defined by the Nebraska Nurse Practice Act preferred.
