Bruce Haffty Joins ACR as the Chief Medical Officer for Radiation Oncology Research

Rutgers Cancer Institute is pleased to announce that Dr. Bruce Haffty has been appointed as the Chief Medical Officer for Radiation Oncology Research with the American College of Radiology (ACR).

About the role

• Works closely with ACR staff, Radiation Therapy Oncology Group Foundation scientific leadership and industry partners
• Advances clinical research trials to shape the future of radiation oncology practice

Responsibilities

• Continues in his roles as Associate Vice Chancellor for Cancer Programs at Rutgers Health
• Professor of Radiation Oncology at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and New Jersey Medical School
• Serves as the system director of radiation oncology for RWJBarnabas Health
