Responsibilities

  • Provide insight, consultation, and strategies to help a Division’s Financial Advisor and Financial Consultant population achieve growth targets, deliver improved client experiences, adhere to the firm’s risk management objectives, optimize their team, and plan for the future.
  • Support the professional development of Financial Advisors and Consultants in alignment with the Division’s strategic plan and growth initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the National Sales team to execute practice management enhancement efforts within the Division.
  • Leverage tools such as PriceMetrix, Envestnet, and Fidelity to analyze Financial Advisor books of business and identify efficiencies and growth opportunities.
  • Support Regional Directors in identifying team opportunities for Financial Advisors and Consultants.
  • Provide sales and organizational insight to improve team performance and development.
  • Lead proactive support for Financial Advisor training and development in partnership with National Sales and third-party providers.
  • Assist with Financial Consultant development, including personal engagement and broader workshop and training programs.
  • Consult on Financial Advisor succession plan coordination with Regional Directors.
  • Drive and support pricing improvement initiatives for the line of business (LOB) and Division.
  • Organize client events as appropriate.
  • Embody Truist values and mission, including active community involvement.
  • Identify and assist with process, policy, and system revisions to improve workflows, staying current on new technologies, products, and trends.
  • Educate Financial Advisors and Consultants on intra-Wealth and Bank partnership expectations, opportunities, and processes (e.g., CSBB/Premier and Wholesale).
  • Support execution of partnership initiatives and dispositioning referrals within expected timeframes.
  • Provide relevant updates to the Brokerage Division Director for dissemination to the field during team touchpoints.
  • Support LOB and Division risk management objectives through field education and coaching.
  • Assist Regional Directors with ISG branch coverage changes, ensuring adherence to reassignment guiding principles and checklists.
  • Help build high-performing teams by developing and retaining key talent, recruiting top external talent with a focus on diversity, and executing Financial Advisor retention strategies.
  • Partner with Regional Directors to support education and options for succession planning and book transitions.
  • Collaborate with National Sales to refine and utilize Advisor development opportunities.
  • Assist Regional Directors with ISG to PCG transition requests, ensuring business cases are completed and all required steps are followed for approved transitions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Banking, or equivalent education and related experience.
  • 8 years of leadership experience in coaching sales and relationship management within the Wealth Brokerage/Advisory industry.
  • Active FINRA Series 7, 66 (or 63/65), 24, plus applicable Life & Health insurance licenses.
  • Thorough understanding of financial planning and investment concepts.
  • Proven track record of sales coaching, presentation, and relationship management skills in the wealth brokerage business.
  • Strong conceptual ability to analyze problems and devise solutions.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel, including overnight travel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completion of an established management or career development program (e.g., Truist’s Leadership Development Program or similar).
  • Working knowledge of holistic banking/investment platforms, products, services, operations, finance, and systems.
