Brokerage Operations Specialist

The role supports Empower Personal Wealth’s Operations group and Brokerage Operations team. The Brokerage Operations Specialist contributes to the organization’s success by processing brokerage operational transactions and performing administrative functions. Under general supervision, this role reviews and accepts new account applications, coordinates new business processes across internal departments, processes account updates, and supports asset movement activities.

Responsibilities

• Review new account applications, complete new account setup, process contributions, and perform suitability reviews for the Brokerage line of business, as applicable.
• Conduct daily reviews of outstanding applications and customer requests to support timely and accurate processing and a positive customer experience.
• Provide ongoing status updates to internal and external clients regarding applications, requests, and other processing activities.
• Support recurring audits, reporting activities, and operational projects on a monthly and quarterly basis.
• Draft customer correspondence related to brokerage processing activities.
• Coordinate procedure updates with management to improve operational efficiency, accuracy, and completeness.
• Support all aspects of Self-Directed Brokerage processing, as needed.
• Collaborate with Service, Sales, internal business partners, and external vendors to complete daily operational deliverables and manage escalated situations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent experience
• 1–2 years of experience in financial services
• Series 7, Series 24, and Series 63 FINRA registrations required
• FINRA fingerprinting required
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and complete work within established timelines in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teammates, management, internal business partners, and external vendors
• Experience managing escalated situations
• Ability to work independently on operational tasks

Pay

Base Salary Range $55,300.00 - $76,075.00

The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

For remote and hybrid positions you will be required to provide reliable high-speed internet with a wired connection as well as a place in your home to work with limited disruption. You must have reliable connectivity from an internet service provider that is fiber, cable or DSL internet. Other necessary computer equipment will be provided. You may be required to work in the office if you do not have an adequate home work environment and the required internet connection.
