Responsibilities

• Identify new business opportunities, win new accounts, and nurture long-term relationships with existing clients
• Understand clients' unique needs and tailor insurance solutions that offer the best protection
• Build a strong pipeline of prospects through innovative marketing, business development strategies, cold calling, networking, and referrals
• Help clients assess their risks and provide expert advice on reducing their exposure
• Collaborate with Account Management and other departments to deliver top-notch service, from timely communication to policy renewals
• Maintain strong, professional relationships with insurance carriers

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; degree in Insurance & Risk Management, Marketing, Finance, or Economics is a plus
• Property & Casualty Broker-Agent License and/or Life & Health Broker-Agent License required (assistance provided to obtain if needed)
• 2+ years of successful sales experience
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to comply with InterWest Insurance Services Auto Usage Policy

Preferred Experience

• Experience selling a service or product in: Agriculture, Construction, Social Services / Human Services, Financial Services, or Sports / Outdoor Recreation

Pay

The starting base compensation for this full-time position ranges from $60,000 to $75,000 annually PLUS earned commissions. Compensation will be set based on a variety of factors including departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and geographical location.
