About the Role
The Atlanta Gladiators are seeking a Broadcasting & Media Relations Intern for the entirety of the 2026-27 ECHL Season. Interns will assist the Broadcasting & Media Relations Department with game-day communications and operations, while contributing to road game coverage remotely. The ideal candidate must have a passion for broadcasting, along with a desire to write, shoot/edit video, create content, and learn other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the set-up and tear-down of broadcast equipment and press box for all 36 home games.
- Assist in cutting clips mid-game for home/away games.
- Edit and produce post-game highlights for each Gladiators home and road game, creating a highlight pack to send to media partners.
- Help to craft game recaps and player stories to be published on the Gladiators website and social media platforms.
- Print and supply game notes and supplemental materials for media members for all home games.
- Conduct interviews with players and coaches alongside the Director of Broadcasting and Communications before and after games for future use within the broadcast and social media.
- Manage and operate the YouTube broadcast when necessary (be able to switch scenes, change scorebug and graphics, play ads, etc.).
- Assist in producing pregame, postgame, and intermission shows with the ability to recap and preview the game.
- Assist in producing and editing the Atlanta Gladiators podcast.
- Assist in scheduling and managing press conferences and media availability between players/coaches and media partners.
Requirements
- Able to work all Gladiators home games (including necessary nights, weekends, and holidays).
- Working towards a four-year college degree or graduate degree or recent graduate in Marketing, Business Administration, or Sports Management.
- Housing and transportation in the Atlanta/Duluth Area.
- Strong organizational and oral/written communication skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
- Strong professional attitude.
- Experience in the sports industry preferred.
