Broadcasting and Media Relations Intern, 2026-27 Season

Internship for the 2026-27 ECHL Season, starting September/October 2026. Unpaid; reliable transportation and housing in the Savannah area required.

About the role

The Broadcasting and Media Relations Intern will assist the department with game-day communications and operations, contribute to road-game coverage remotely, and gain hands-on experience in professional sports social media, broadcasting, and media relations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with set-up and tear-down of broadcast equipment and press box for all home games
• Collaborate with the Broadcaster and Manager of Media Relations to develop engaging video content for fans
• Edit, produce, and post post-game highlights for each Ghost Pirates game
• Craft game recaps and player stories for the team website and social media platforms
• Prepare game notes, media kits, and other materials for media members at home games
• Organize and manage a library of player and sales-oriented photos and footage, including categorizing, tagging, and ensuring accessibility for promotional and sales use
• Operate the Magnifi platform to cut in-game clips at home and on the road
• Live-tweet and post game clips on X, Facebook, and Instagram for all regular-season games
• Conduct interviews with players and coaches alongside the Broadcaster and Manager of Media Relations for broadcast and social media use
• Opportunity to serve as a color commentator and/or intermission host during home broadcasts
• Attend community events and assist the Broadcaster and Manager of Media Relations as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned
