The Role
Position: Broadband Technician
Locations: Norfolk, Wayne, Westpoint, Osmond, Wakefield and Ponca, NE
Experience: 1–7 years in a relevant field
Able to work rotating weekend shifts and on-call (required)
Key Responsibilities
- Network Services: Perform installation, splicing, and repair of internet, phone, and TV services over coax, copper and fiber systems.
- Systems Maintenance: Help maintain mainline coax and fiber systems to ensure high performance.
- Customer Success: Actively promote company products and services while delivering outstanding support.
- Administrative: Interpret and complete staking sheets, work orders, maps, and cable counts.
- Logistics & Safety: Operate company vehicles and equipment (bucket trucks), work non-standard hours (including nights/weekends/call-outs), and travel for training when needed.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: 1-7 years of related experience with a High School diploma or equivalent.
- Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of electronics and testing equipment (EXFO Light meters, volt-ohm meters). Fiber fusion splicing and provisioning experience is a plus, but training is provided.
- Physical Aptitude: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, operate bucket trucks, dig, and maneuver in crawl spaces and attics.
- Requirements: A valid driver's license, good driving record, and comfortable working outside under various weather conditions.
- Soft Skills: Strong verbal/written communication, troubleshooting, typing, and customer relations skills.
