About the role
The Broadband Services Technician installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and supports broadband services—including data, video, and VoIP—for residential, commercial, and anchor institution customers. This role focuses on quality workmanship, customer satisfaction, system reliability, and safe work practices in support of the cooperative’s broadband network.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Perform installation, activation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of broadband services, including fiber, data, video, and VoIP systems
- Install, configure, test, and maintain cabling, customer premises equipment (CPE), and related network components in residential, commercial, and anchor institution environments
- Operate, maintain, and document the use of tools, test equipment, and vehicles required to perform job duties safely and efficiently
- Ensure all work is completed with quality workmanship and in accordance with company policies, safety procedures, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations
- Communicate professionally with customers to explain services, confirm satisfactory completion of work, and address service-related questions
- Prepare and maintain accurate service documentation, records, and reports as required
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently, manage assigned workload, and adapt to changing priorities
- Maintain working knowledge of broadband technologies, equipment, and service offerings
- Participate in training and educational opportunities to enhance technical knowledge and skills
- Follow all safety and security procedures and actively demonstrate safe work practices at all times
- Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience in broadband, telecommunications, networking, or a related technical field preferred
- Valid Oklahoma Driver’s License required
- Ability to obtain and maintain applicable technical certifications as required
Physical & Work Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and working in confined or awkward positions
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights up to 30 feet
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Regular lifting up to 25 pounds, frequent lifting up to 50 pounds, and occasional lifting up to 100 pounds
