About the role
The Broadband Installation Technician - Junior position offers an entry-level opportunity to develop skills in telecommunications installation and infrastructure support.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup, connection, and maintenance of telecommunications equipment.
- Install, connect, and test ethernet, coaxial, USB-C, and related cabling systems.
- Run and route cables through telecom closets, risers, rooftops, building exteriors, and other assigned areas.
- Support the installation of rooftop antennas, radios, and related connectivity equipment.
- Install new cabling infrastructure throughout multi-dwelling units, offices, and commercial buildings.
- Aid in the installation of power cables to equipment installation points.
- Follow installation procedures, safety guidelines, and technical instructions from senior technicians.
- Provide support for additional installation and field service tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Entry-level technician with an interest in telecommunications.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and willingness to learn hands-on installation skills.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous wireless telecommunications or cable installation experience preferred.
- Familiarity with basic hand tools and power tools.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Basic math skills and ability to follow technical instructions.
- Comfortable working on rooftops, elevated areas, and in confined spaces.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a field installation team.
- Local to the Las Vegas, Nevada market.
