About the role

DSI is part of the Handicap Compensation Services (HKY) department within Social Administration (SOF) in Copenhagen City Municipality. DSI handles inquiries from citizens and professionals concerned about a child's well-being, processes applications for lost wages and compensation benefits, and offers various services to children, youth, and families, including daycare and family services. The HKY team in Børn Valby–Vesterbro–Kongens Enghave currently consists of approximately 220 staff members who tackle tasks in administration, case handling, supportive interventions, and counseling.

Responsibilities

  • Guide parents of children with long-term physical or mental disabilities through written case handling, including making decisions and contacting families, which may involve personal meetings to consider the child’s perspective in holistic case handling.
  • Participate in weekly professional meetings and complaint and eviction hearings where we discuss legislation and seek the best possible solution for families.

Requirements

  • Uddanede socialrådgiver, socialformidler eller andre relevante højskoleuddannelser.
  • Erfaring med arbejde med borgere inden for målgruppen og møder borgerne med respekt og ligeværdighed på højt serviceniveau.
  • Erfaring med Forvaltningsloven, Retssikkerhedsloven og Barnets Lovs rammerer struktureret og fokus på lovmedholdelighed.
  • God IT-kundskab og kendskab til DSI-systemer, særligt DUBU og SAPA.
  • God til at arbejde i arbejdsfællesskaber og trives med mange kolleger med forskellige fagligheder.

Qualifications

  • Highly motivated to be part of a team that is actively developing both case handling and collaboration with our service areas.
  • Ability to make a difference for families who need support.

Skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Experience with legal frameworks such as the Social Welfare Act, Accident Compensation Act, and the Child's Act.
  • Proficiency in using DSI systems, particularly DUBU and SAPA.

Pay

The salary and terms of employment will be negotiated based on social counselors, social mediators, or HK- qualifications.
