Responsibilities
- Turn blueprints into finished products by assembling and welding a variety of metal components with precision and craftsmanship.
- Read blueprints and process sheets to determine assembly methods and weld sequences.
- Inspect parts and verify dimensions using measuring and inspection equipment.
- Set up and assemble fixtures using Bluco or layout tables.
- Lay out reference lines and machining locations from engineering prints.
- Use hand tools, power tools, clamps, and welding equipment to complete assemblies.
- Review production schedules and work orders to keep work moving efficiently.
- Help prepare completed work for shipment.
- Work safely while maintaining high standards of quality and craftsmanship.
- Pitch in wherever needed to help the team succeed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Welding experience, trade school training, or a combination of education and hands-on experience.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with measuring tools and inspection equipment.
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Reliable attendance and a commitment to workplace safety.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly stand and walk throughout your shift.
- Use your hands for welding, fitting, and material handling.
- Lift up to 40 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Work around welding equipment, moving machinery, noise, heat, and industrial environments while following all required safety procedures.
Qualifications
- PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or equivalent, Trade school, college, weld experience, or a combination.
- Additional Eligibility Qualifications: Attendance - In order to perform this job the employee must meet all Company attendance requirements. Safety - The ability to continuously practice safe habits in the workplace while following all policies and procedures related to health and safety.
