Bridge Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Aid in the oversight of project plans and construction projects while adhering to safety standards.
• Assist in the field engineering and design of temporary structures such as formwork, false work, lift plans, trestles, sheet piling, and shoring.
• Prepare and update schedules, identify critical work items, and compile lists of long-lead items.
• Coordinate survey crew activities and ensure compliance with purchase orders and shop drawings.
• Track and report quantities, assist in project costing and forecasting, and prepare requisitions for equipment and materials.
• Resolve field problems and conflicts, liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and workforce, and notify the Project Engineer of potential cost impacts.
• Prepare Request for Information (RFI) documents and document time and material work, as well as other extra work activities.
• Keep a daily diary of project progress and take project photos regularly.
• Assist in project close-out documentation.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in engineering or construction management or equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant construction engineering and/or surveying experience.
• Experience with DOT/FDOT projects and bridge/structure experience is required.
• Knowledge and proficiency in database and project controls computer application systems, including MS Excel and MS Word.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
