Position Summary
The Breathing Air Technician is responsible for in-house services and/or client turnarounds.
Essential Responsibilities
- Maintain low pressure and high-pressure breathing air systems.
- Ensure packs are current and not expired.
- Offer Rigup/Rig Up services in an industrial environment.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of breathing air regulators and reducers.
- Receive, inspect, clean, service, reassemble, and test various SCBA (Self Contained Breathing Apparatus) and other respiratory equipment and breathing air equipment according to approved testing and service procedures.
- Document services rendered and equipment in service thoroughly.
- Stock shelves with clean, tested, and ready-to-use equipment.
- Pull, stage, and load customer orders onto trucks for delivery.
- Maintain work area and other areas in a clean and orderly condition.
- Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D
- 3+ years air pack maintenance experience (6, 12 Packs)
- Previous SCBA maintenance experience required
- Electrical experience preferred
- Minimum 23 years old
- No plant restrictions
- Rig up experience highly preferred
- Experience supporting safety conditions within Petrochemical and/or Oil and Gas plant environments
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
- Ability to submit to and pass drug and background screening
- OSHA and industrial certifications preferred
- Current TWIC card
- Excellent reading, writing, and verbal skills in the English language
- Strong attention to detail required
- Ability and willingness to work with little to no supervision
- Willingness to work with all levels of management and employee population in a professional manner
- Willingness to travel a must. Must be flexible to work long hours including on-call, weekends, and holiday schedules
- Physical Demands: Sit, stand, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, finger, handle, or feel; talk or hear; walk; climb or balance; lift and/or move up to 100 pounds; work in varied temperatures: heat and cold workspaces; able to distinguish between colors

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time - direct hire employment opportunity. The employee must be willing to work weekends and holidays as needed. Overnight travel likely. Additional hours may be needed. On-call availability required. Travel 0-15%.
