Breast Surgeon

Job Summary

Play a pivotal role in a leading Comprehensive Breast Program, providing expert surgical care and contributing to a patient-centered model. Engage in collaborative care with a multidisciplinary team including medical and radiation oncology, breast imaging, pathology, plastic surgery, genetics, and supportive care specialists.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive surgical evaluation and management of benign and malignant breast disease.
• Perform the full spectrum of breast surgery including breast conservation, oncoplastic surgery, mastectomy, sentinel node biopsy, axillary dissection and advanced surgical techniques.
• Participate actively in multidisciplinary breast clinic and tumor board conferences.
• Collaborate with the breast team to coordinate individualized treatment plans.
• Support and advance quality improvement initiatives, evidence-based care pathways and program development.
• Maintain timely and accurate medical documentation within the electronic medical record.
• Engage in community outreach, education, and breast cancer awareness initiatives.
• Participate in clinical research, teaching, and mentorship opportunities as available.
• Foster a compassionate patient-centered environment emphasizing shared decision-making and survivorship care.

Required Job Requirements

• Be board certified or eligible in Breast Surgery/Surgical Oncology, Active or eligible license in the state of Colorado.
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of breast surgery principles.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
