Shift Description

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of Ultrasound procedures both professional and non-clinical consistent with optimal image quality.
• Enters on-line charges in the computer system (Radiology Information System-RIS) and ensures high level of accuracy.
• Provides patient care, ensures an environment of patient safety, promotes evidence-based practice and quality initiatives, and exhibits professionalism within established Radiology and Imaging National standards.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved Ultrasound program.
• Registered as a Sonographer by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), or ARRT (S), with specialties in abdomen, obstetrics and gynecology, or other areas as appropriate.
• Prior experience as a Sonographer preferred.
• Effective Communication Skills.
• Maintain current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an approved Ultrasound program.
• Licensure / Certification: Registered as a Sonographer by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), or ARRT (S), with specialties in abdomen, obstetrics and gynecology, or other areas as appropriate.
