Job Description
This is a PRN position.
Responsibilities
- Uses ultrasound high-frequency sound waves to take images of the body's internal organs and tissues to assist doctors with diagnosing and monitoring a variety of conditions and diseases.
- A sonographer is also known as a diagnostic medical sonographer or an ultrasound technician.
Requirements
- Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduation from a school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
- Work Experience: 0 – 2 years.
Skills
- Knowledge of ultrasonic equipment operation.
- Ability to record test results accurately.
- Proficiency in maintaining and inspecting equipment.
- Ability to order necessary supplies.
