Sonographer - PRN

Job Description

This is a PRN position.

Responsibilities

• Uses ultrasound high-frequency sound waves to take images of the body's internal organs and tissues to assist doctors with diagnosing and monitoring a variety of conditions and diseases.
• A sonographer is also known as a diagnostic medical sonographer or an ultrasound technician.

Requirements

• Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduation from a school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• Work Experience: 0 – 2 years.

Skills

• Knowledge of ultrasonic equipment operation.
• Ability to record test results accurately.
• Proficiency in maintaining and inspecting equipment.
• Ability to order necessary supplies.
