About the role
The Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Instructor positions in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). Expertise is required in the specific area of Breast Imaging.
Requirements
- M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree
- American Board of Radiology (ABR) certified or board-eligible in Diagnostic Radiology
- Sub-specialty training in Breast Imaging or equivalent experience
Responsibilities
- Utilize the most advanced breast imaging technology available to provide individually tailored, comprehensive evaluations for the early and precise detection and diagnosis of breast diseases
- Conduct high-quality interventional breast procedures, including stereotactic, ultrasound-guided, and MRI-guided biopsies
- Develop research credentials with provided research and educational support to prepare for an academic and/or clinical career
- Develop a specialized research focus in consultation with the Division Chief
About the workplace
Penn Radiology provides clinical services for the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP), Penn Presbyterian Medical Center (PPMC), Pennsylvania Hospital (PAH), and the Philadelphia Veterans Affairs Medical Center (PAVMC), as well as affiliated outpatient imaging centers in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.
