Breast Imaging Coordinator

Position Purpose

Works closely with the Breast Center Supervisor and Radiologists to coordinate and perform all mammography quality control and assurance activities.

What You Will Do

• Coincides the day-to-day activity of patient procedures for mammography, general diagnostic, Bone Density, and Interventional Breast examinations.
• Additionally, this position requires participation in technical mammographic procedures in the Comprehensive Breast Center.
• The incumbent will work closely with the Chief Breast Radiologist and radiology management to ensure compliance with MQSA standards and to monitor key performance metrics.
• The position involves coordinating all activities related to the collection, tracking, and reporting of data and metrics pertaining to Mammography and Breast Imaging.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Graduate from a recognized approved AMA council on Education Program in Radiologic Technology, bachelor’s degree in related field.
• Licensure: Current Connecticut Licensure.
• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiography, Mammography, Quality Management preferred.

Skills

• Excellent verbal and written skills to facilitate communication with medical and technical personnel.
• Ability to deal efficiently and courteously with all hospital personnel.
• Ability to adequately use, or learn to use, the department’s computerized system and its associated devices.
• Three years appropriate technical skills in general diagnostic radiology and mammography.
