The Breast Imaging Clinical Manager provides overall leadership, direction, and operational oversight for a dedicated Breast Imaging Center while remaining actively engaged in clinical care—approximately 50% leadership and 50% clinical.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and direction for a dedicated Breast Imaging Center, combining leadership responsibilities with direct patient care (50% breast imaging/scanning duties, 50% management and administrative responsibilities)
• Ensure daily schedule optimization to maximize staff productivity and resource utilization
• Supervise daily Breast Imaging operations and conduct center meetings with staff
• Manage workflow to ensure effective use of human resources, time, equipment, and supplies
• Control clinical expenses and resulting net income
• Provide leadership for center employees, fostering a positive work environment
• Perform mammography procedures
• Recruit, coach, and develop clinical staff
• Ensure all center employees perform satisfactorily and add value to productivity
• Act as the first point of contact for employees to address questions, issues, and concerns
• Conduct annual (and periodic) performance evaluations and ensure compensation reflects contributions
• Ensure productivity, staffing efficiency, and operational performance
• Participate in capital planning and equipment replacement decisions
• Monitor center revenue, profitability, budgets, and expenses
• Maintain referral source relationships to align clinical outcomes with physician and patient needs
• Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to maximize opportunities for the center
• Ensure MQSA, ACR, HIPAA, OSHA, and regulatory compliance
• Lead accreditation, inspections, and audit readiness
• Oversee all quality assurance and quality control activities

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program and ARRT registered
• Must complete required CEUs in a timely manner to maintain active certification(s)
• Certified in Mammography, in addition to X-RAY
• Knowledge of diagnostic mammography procedures and standards
• Skilled in operation of equipment across multiple modalities
• 8 years of experience in area of specialization

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of supervisory experience
• Registry in Breast Ultrasound
