Clinical Imaging Manager

About the Role

The Clinical Imaging Manager ensures a professional, caring atmosphere for all customer groups while maintaining a fast-paced, multi-tasked clinical environment. This role oversees locations, employees, and technologist activity, and is available for emergency consultation.

Responsibilities

• Prime coordinator for notification, reporting, and smooth functioning of equipment.
• Oversees technologist activity, including planning, directing, and organizing schedules and protocol implementation.
• Delivers patient care, initiates/monitors/terminates procedures, and ensures patients are informed of clinical policies.
• Administers contrast and assists in post-treatment cleanup.
• Maintains thorough working knowledge of equipment and schedules preventative maintenance with proper documentation.
• Notifies proper parties to correct equipment malfunctions or secure additional equipment.
• Teaches and plans proper cleaning of equipment and assists in developing new procedural techniques.
• Evaluates new and existing equipment, making recommendations to the Medical Director and Chief Operating Officer.
• Reports on the technical competence of technologists and critiques their performance.
• Cooperates in the orientation and training of new protocols and attends staff meetings.
• Promotes a sense of worth in personnel by recognizing individual contributions and strives to maintain and upgrade competence.

Requirements

• Associate of Applied Science Degree in Radiologic Technology from an approved collegiate or hospital-based program.
• A.R.R.T. certification and MRI certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years of MRI experience with adequate on-the-job training for equipment maintenance.
• Able to identify, detect, and correct equipment malfunctions or contact proper resources for repair.

Physical Requirements

• Able to sit and utilize a computer for extended periods.
• Able to assist patients with mobility difficulties.
• Able to push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds (with or without accommodation).

Pay

$77,000–$148,000 per year, plus bonus eligibility and benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
