Breakfast Line Cook

About the role

Merrill Gardens at Anthem is currently seeking Breakfast Line Cooks to join their team. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with seniors and dedicated to supporting their wellness journey.

Responsibilities

• Aids in preparing all food items according to production amounts, recipes, and procedures.
• Ensures all food items are prepared in a timely manner, using batch-cooking and cook-to-order where appropriate to maintain freshness.
• Prepares all food products to meet the highest standards of food safety and nutritional requirements.
• Attends all scheduled dining services meetings and in-service trainings.
• Maintains kitchen sanitation and safety standards by cleaning and sanitizing work areas and equipment before and after each use.
• Follows proper food handling and storage procedures as per Merrill Gardens and state Food Safety guidelines.
• Records temperature charts and maintains compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Completes assigned cleaning tasks to ensure sanitary standards are met.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year’s experience in quality food preparation.
• Experience in scratch cooking in a high-volume, fine-dining setting.
• Proficiency in computer skills including MS Outlook, Word, etc.
• One year previous dining experience in food preparation.
• High School diploma or GED; a college degree or equivalent is preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, and manual handling of materials up to 50 lbs.
• Regular bending, lifting, and reaching.

Pay
