About the role
As a Breakfast Cook at Timber Ridge Lodge & Waterpark, you will prepare and cook all food items according to menus, expedite orders quickly and correctly, and ensure junior team members perform duties to standards and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Prepare station-specific food items according to recipes, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Monitor product storage, portion sizes, and special items like stocks and sauces.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all areas to meet Health Department regulations.
- Ensure equipment is clean, sanitized, and operational.
- Uphold high standards of food production and presentation.
- Maintain personal hygiene and sanitation practices.
- Manage station setup, breakdown, and prep work.
- Follow recipe specifications for all food preparation.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a line cook in a fast-paced, high-pressure, and busy work environment.
- High school diploma preferred.
- Sufficient manual dexterity to use all kitchen equipment (knives, spoons, spatulas, tongs, slicers, etc.).
- Knowledge of proper knife handling, techniques, and cooking procedures, as well as basic prep functions (cleaning greens, prepping vegetables).
- Ability to lift, push, or pull weights up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to stand for long periods, work in confined spaces with high noise levels, frequent interruptions, and extreme temperature ranges.
- Ability to obtain any local, state, or federal license or certification for sanitation, liquor service, or food service.
- Must be able to work a varied schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, and work under pressure.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
