About the role

Each Limelight hotel is inspired by place, united by purpose, and set in the heart of elevated and unique locations across Colorado, Idaho, California, and South Carolina.

The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for setting up and maintaining the breakfast buffet and dining area, ensuring all food items are stocked and presented attractively. This position provides excellent customer service by assisting guests, replenishing food as needed, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the breakfast service. The Breakfast Attendant also rotates stewarding duties as scheduled, including washing dishes and kitchen equipment. This position reports to the Executive Chef.

Responsibilities

  • Set up breakfast each morning; shift is 5:30am to 2:30pm
  • Serve guests hot & cold breakfast items
  • Continually restock dry food items and refill all drink containers during breakfast hours
  • Assist in brewing a variety of coffees for guests
  • Cordially assist guests with all breakfast questions
  • Wipe down and bus tables during breakfast hours
  • Set up, maintain, work, and breakdown breakfast stations
  • Put all dry food items away after breakfast ends
  • Clean surfaces and floors to prepare the Lounge sitting area for lunch
  • Rotate into stewarding duties as scheduled, including washing dishes and kitchen equipment
  • Take out trash and ensure trash cans are clean and sanitized regularly
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or high school equivalent preferred
  • 1 year of food and beverage experience preferred

Skills

  • Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards
  • Familiarity with various breakfast items, including dietary restrictions and common allergens
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills to interact effectively with guests
  • Strong organizational skills to ensure the timely replenishment and presentation of breakfast items
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Ability to anticipate guest needs and provide a welcoming and positive dining experience

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, walk or be on your feet for extended periods of time
  • Regularly work in wet, hot, and humid conditions for extended periods of time and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces
  • Must be able to occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance
