About the role
The Hotel Breakfast Attendant is responsible for providing guests with a clean, welcoming, and well-stocked breakfast experience while delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Set up the breakfast buffet with food, beverages, utensils, and serving equipment prior to opening.
- Prepare and replenish food and beverage items throughout breakfast service to maintain freshness and presentation.
- Greet guests in a friendly, professional manner and respond promptly to questions or special requests.
- Maintain food quality and temperatures to ensure compliance with health and food safety regulations.
- Keep the breakfast area, dining tables, beverage stations, and serving counters clean, organized, and fully stocked.
- Wash dishes, utensils, and food preparation equipment as needed.
- Dispose of trash and recycling, and maintain cleanliness in accordance with hotel and sanitation standards.
- Clean and sanitize the kitchen, breakfast area, and storage spaces after service.
- Maintain inventory levels and notify management when supplies need to be reordered.
- Follow all hotel policies, food handling procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Absorb and assist other hotel departments with light housekeeping or guest service duties when needed.
Qualifications
- Previous food service, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred but not required.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
- Reliable attendance and flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is preferred.
