Top Texas Law Firm is seeking a Breakdown Auditor to join the team in a professional office environment.
About the role
Protects assets by ensuring compliance with internal control procedures and regulations. The focus of this position is reviewing and auditing final breakdowns. High attention to detail in writing is required; proofreading or editing skills are a plus. Must manage deadlines with multiple priorities, work under pressure, and handle confidential information professionally. Ability to communicate with all levels of personnel in the firm and thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment is essential. The Breakdown Auditor will also perform general accounting tasks as necessary.
Responsibilities
- Reviews and audits all breakdowns before client checks are written.
- Complies with required performance metrics.
- Creates and/or maintains meticulous records, spreadsheets, and files.
- Analyzes and completes final settlement breakdowns.
- Meets deadlines.
- Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures by examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation.
- Verifies assets and liabilities by comparing items to documentation.
- Communicates with attorneys to complete audits when errors are discovered.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in a related field with work experience preferred.
- Salesforce experience (or other CRM) is a plus.
