Auditor

About the role

The Auditor will conduct on‑site monitoring and reviews of DCS community‑based contracted provider businesses across DCS regions 9, 10, and 11 (central part of the state). The role involves reviewing services and billing for accuracy, educating providers, recommending corrective actions, pursuing financial recoveries, and participating in team meetings and trainings while ensuring compliance with state laws, policies, and service standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform on‑site reviews and audits of DCS contracted provider businesses in regions 9, 10, and 11.
• Evaluate DCS services and billing to ensure no errors and appropriate billing.
• Educate providers, recommend corrections, and create plans of correction when errors are identified.
• Pursue financial damages to the state resulting from audit findings.
• Travel with a team to provider locations to conduct reviews and audits.
• Participate in weekly team Teams meetings, monthly division Teams meetings, and quarterly face‑to‑face meetings in Central Office (Marion County).
• Suggest process improvements within the team and division.
• Adhere to all applicable state laws, policies, service standards, and procedures.
• Attend trainings to maintain a full understanding of position responsibilities.

Schedule

Travel to provider locations within regions 9, 10, and 11 is required as frequently as twice a week. Additionally, the auditor must travel to Central Office in Marion County four times per year for division meetings.
