About the role

We need a Brand & Social Storyteller to be Pattern's boots-on-the-ground presence at trade shows, industry events, and brand activations. You'll act as the face and voice behind our content by conducting on-camera interviews, editing same-day posts, and bridging event experiences with social media engagement. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Lehi, UT.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to industry shows and events (estimated 50% travel time).
  • Conduct "on the street" broadcast-style interviews with brands, attendees, and industry personnel.
  • Shoot and edit content in real time using mobile-first tools like CapCut.
  • Tag and feature around 10 brands daily across platform-ready social content.
  • Post, manage, and track content performance across social channels during and after events.
  • Ensure Amazon listings and product links are integrated into interview content alongside content teams.
  • Support broader media initiatives including the Totally SKU'd podcast and Unpacked with our CMO.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in social content creation or on-camera experience (required).
  • Strong instincts for fast-turnaround, mobile-first content creation and editing (CapCut or similar).
  • Comfortable traveling frequently (~50%) and working long, active days on show floors.
  • Natural on-camera presence with the ability to make strangers comfortable quickly.
  • Experience with drone operation (or willingness to get certified).
  • Strong cross-functional alignment skills to connect event output with brand priorities and social strategy.
  • Broadcast journalism background or prior experience working in broadcast news (e.g., news anchor or corporate broadcaster).
  • Demonstrated ability to build and grow a personal or corporate social media account over multiple years.

What high performance looks like

  • On-the-street content consistently drives engagement and reach across social channels.
  • Brand and product tags lead to measurable traffic and awareness lift.
  • Content turnaround is fast, delivering same-day or next-day published posts.
  • You follow through with all assignments in a timely manner and take full ownership of projects.
  • Interviews feel authentic and on-brand, creating a repeatable content engine show after show.

Career growth

As a Social Ambassador, you'll build a strong portfolio of on-camera and content creation work while growing your network across brands and the events industry. Strong performers can grow into content strategy, social media management, or on-camera talent roles as Pattern's content team continues to expand.

First 30, 60, 90 days

  • 30 days: You're up to speed on Pattern's brand voice, content workflows, and editing tools, and have shadowed or co-covered your first event.
  • 60 days: You're independently covering events end-to-end—filming, editing, and same-day publishing—while building rapport with brand partners on-site.
  • 90 days: You're consistently delivering high-engagement content on a predictable cadence, with a growing library of authentic interviews and a track record of fast turnaround.
