What You’ll Do
- Oversees and manages assigned projects and/or department data, ensuring it meets predetermined contractual or policy requirements
- Conduct data entry and data management for various department projects
- Aid in the development of training materials such as manuals, handbooks, presentations, diagrams, workflows, and project plans
- Review artwork for adherence to specifications, brand guidelines, and supporting documentation
- Communicate and coordinate with all levels of Branding & Packaging (BAP) team and cross-functional departments such as Engineering, Label Compliance, and Translation and other internal stakeholders as appropriate; and, when suitable with external parties, to gather information necessary for development of creative briefs
- Organize job details, track milestones, and proactively raise questions and solutions as needed, within the packaging development process
- Participate in the development of product packaging design from creative briefs through production, with the support of the BAP Manager and Sr. Analysts
- Liaise with creative and production agencies, and photographers to coordinate creative development
- Review and comment on artwork, proof against brand guidelines, initiatives, and packaging content
- Consolidate feedback from a variety of stakeholders into clear direction for external partners with the support and direction of the BAP Manager
- Apply critical thinking skills to proactively raise questions and propose solutions, to produce high-quality deliverables
- Complete accurate data entry and tracking for all assigned projects and products, and create BAP related reports
- Collect and organize data to assist team members with other projects as assigned such as draft process documents, and production notes
- Enter product and artwork information into Lidl US systems and actively address questions
- Conduct research relating to design development
- Perform other duties as assigned
What You’ll Need
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in Google Workspace tools and/or Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of consumer/market trends in the retail/grocery field
- Understanding of the implementation of primary and secondary packaging
- General to intermediate understanding of printing techniques
- General to intermediate understanding of packaging components, structures and materials
- Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and general design principles
- Ability to work independently
Required Education, Certifications/Licenses, Related Experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- 1-3 years of experience in a related field
- In lieu of degree, 5+ years of experience in related field will meet the education and related experience requirements listed above
- Experience in or fundamental knowledge of brand building, brand architecture and packaging design in the private label or national brand environment
Physical Job Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
