About the role

At Workweek, we're looking for a Brand & Narrative Marketing Manager to own the brand for Safe Space, a community for HR leaders. The role involves running social channels, managing announcements, programming cultural events, creating marketing moments, and ensuring brand consistency.

Responsibilities

  • Run the social channels: Post to Safe Space social accounts, reply to comments, and grow the following.
  • Own announcements: Own the day-to-day drumbeat of announcements and communications around new product features and community updates.
  • Program HR’s cultural calendar: Counter-program the HR year with tentpole moments that bring together existing members and reach non-members.
  • Create other marketing moments: Generate marketing moments for the community, including research reports, responses to industry news, and trending conversations.
  • Keep the brand consistent: Ensure Safe Space looks and sounds the same everywhere it shows up, adhering to brand guidelines.

Requirements

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in brand, social, or community marketing, preferably for a media brand, community, or B2B audience.
  • A doer, not just a planner. Can take a plan and execute it end-to-end, hitting deadlines and holding the details together.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity. Makes decisions with what's available and moves forward rather than waiting for everything to be perfect.
  • Taste. Knows the difference between content that fills a calendar and content that makes someone feel seen.
  • Native social fluency. Works effectively on social channels and carries a brand voice across platforms.
  • AI chops. Leans on AI tools to work faster and do more on their own, such as drafting and editing copy, generating images and video, repurposing content, and speeding up research.
  • A strong writer. Can switch between a punchy post, a campaign brief, and an event invite in the same afternoon.
  • Range. Can move seamlessly from a social calendar to a campaign launch to an event run-of-show without compromising quality.

Qualifications

  • Native English speaker.
  • Availability to work during Central Time Zone workday.

Skills

  • Strong writing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with brand management and consistency.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools.
  • Knowledge of AI tools and their applications.

Benefits

  • Competitive pay
  • Equity in Workweek
  • Remote operations with flexible work hours
  • Unlimited PTO with a minimum of 3 days/quarter used
  • 100% health insurance coverage, 75% coverage for dependents, and $150/month towards an HSA (or $150/month health stipend if insurance not used)
  • 120 days of parental leave to use within one year of childbirth
  • 401(k) plan with 3.5% company match
  • $500 one-time stipend for any home office needs used after the first 90 days
  • 5-week sabbatical after 4 years on staff
  • 2 volunteering days per year
  • 1x/year in-person team retreat
  • $100/month book stipend

Pay

Competitive pay (we don't pay based on location, we assign value to the role)

Schedule

Remote operations with the ability to work in the time zone of your choice (or work IRL in our Austin, TX office)
