Brand Manager - Skincare & Personal Care + Sanitizing

About the role
The Honest Company is seeking a Brand Manager to join our Adult Operating Unit and support our strategic categories: Skincare & Personal Care + Sanitizing. You will develop your brand management skills by partnering with cross-functional teams across Sales, Consumer Insights, Innovation, R&D, Supply Chain, Finance, Creative, and eCommerce to bring category growth strategies, product innovation, and integrated marketing campaigns to life.
As a key member of the Skincare & Personal Care + Sanitizing team, you will help manage day-to-day business performance while supporting the development and execution of long-term growth strategies. This role offers broad exposure across the business—from innovation and commercialization to retailer execution, demand planning, portfolio management, and business analytics—providing an exceptional opportunity to grow your marketing and general management capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Help lead development and execution of the Skincare & Personal Care + Sanitizing annual business plan, including growth initiatives, innovation, and portfolio optimization.
- Analyze business performance, category trends, competitive activity, and consumer insights to identify opportunities and develop actionable recommendations that drive growth.
- Monitor business performance across retail and eCommerce channels, identify drivers of velocity, and recommend action plans to improve distribution, productivity, and household penetration.
- Support monthly business reviews by analyzing financial results, market performance, and key business metrics to identify opportunities, risks, and recommended actions.
- Partner with Supply Chain, Sales Planning, and Finance to support demand forecasting and monthly S&OP processes, ensuring forecasts reflect innovation timing, promotional plans, retail distribution changes, and business performance.
- Lead end-to-end product innovation and commercialization initiatives, partnering cross-functionally to develop business cases, consumer insights, product positioning, packaging, claims, and go-to-market plans while ensuring flawless execution from concept through launch.
- Support development of packaging updates, product positioning, claims, and consumer communications that strengthen Honest's differentiated positioning.
- Contribute to development of consumer insights, competitive analyses, and category learning to inform future innovation and business strategy.
- Manage day-to-day business operations with exceptional organization, attention to detail, and follow-through while proactively identifying opportunities to improve processes and execution.
- Lead development of strategic marketing briefs to marketing communications team and support category marketing campaign delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- 5+ years of experience in Brand Management, Marketing, Consumer Insights, Category Management, or another commercial function within a CPG company.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using business performance, consumer, and syndicated data to develop recommendations.
- Experience supporting product launches, integrated marketing campaigns, or commercialization initiatives.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to synthesize information and influence cross-functional partners.
- Experience collaborating with Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, R&D, or other cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Personal Care, Household Products, Consumer Health, or adjacent CPG categories.
- Experience working with major retail customers (Target, Walmart, Amazon, Grocery, Drug, Club, or Prestige).
- Familiarity with syndicated data (Circana/IRI, Nielsen, Numerator) and retailer analytics platforms.
- Experience supporting demand forecasting, S&OP, or commercial planning processes.
- MBA or other advanced business degree.
Pay
The pay range for this role is $132,000 - $147,000. Actual compensation is based on many factors including but not limited to depth of experience, skill level, ability, knowledge, education, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor. The total rewards package for this position may also include base, annual incentive plan, benefits, retirement plan, equity, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
