Responsibilities
- Proactively manages the branch operations and staff, overseeing member interactions and resolving issues.
- Supports the achievement of retail branch sales goals by participating in the branch's management team.
- Aids in ensuring a balance between sales and operational needs of the branch.
- Builds knowledge and proficiency in operational tasks such as instant issue machine maintenance, key management, supply ordering, equipment maintenance, and record keeping.
- Ensures accurate completion of branch documents and maintains cash drawer balances.
- Manages teller functions to deliver exceptional member service and ensure timely completion and quality of teller tasks.
- Works with all staff members to foster a consistently superior member experience.
- Creates new deposit relationships, provides a superior member experience, and promotes a sales and service culture.
- Builds and develops a diverse and high-performing branch team through coaching, training, and evaluation.
- Assists Branch Management in planning, coordinating, and supervising the overall activities and operations of the branch.
- Prepares and manages the budget for the assigned branch under Branch Management supervision.
- Collaborates with the Branch Operations Administrator to enhance branch audits, regulatory requirements, cash management, and branch operations.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Credit Union policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree. A bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience: 2 – 3 Years of Experience Preferred. Must have prior experience in the financial services industry, specifically branch operations. Previous branch operations management experience is a plus.
- Knowledge, Skills & Ability: Thorough knowledge of loan and deposit products and services, including but not limited to checking, savings, IRAs, account insurance coverage, account vesting types, branch operations, policies and procedures, and consumer loans (credit cards, personal loans, and auto loans). Working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of office products. Results-driven with a customer service focus & possesses strong oral & written communication skills. Must obtain Notary License, Medallion Signature training, and CCUFC certification within six months of entering the position. Experience using the Symitar system is considered a plus.
- Other: Ability to organize and prioritize own work schedule and the work schedules of others on a short-term and long-term basis. Ability to work with little to no supervision while performing duties. Willingness to be assigned to other branches as needed. Ability to work extended hours as business needs necessitate. Ability to work a schedule that may include most Saturdays.
