About the role

The Branch Operations Manager oversees daily driver route assignments using Logistics Department technology. This role ensures Service Technicians meet customer needs while complying with DOT regulations, including time worked and time driven, as well as all applicable regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Customer Excellence
    • Communicate openly with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
    • Take a proactive approach to build customer relationships through face-to-face visits and phone communication.
    • Prevent and resolve customer issues quickly and completely.
    • Meet customer expectations for on-time performance and service quality.
  • Safety and Compliance
    • Set the example for making safety the top priority.
    • Ensure adherence to LES safety processes and standards, maintaining proper risk awareness.
    • Communicate safety expectations clearly and openly.
    • Know, understand, and comply with regulations and permitting requirements for your area.
    • Perform routine safety walkarounds and inspections.
    • Lead emergency or accident response, including root cause analysis and reporting.
    • Ensure daily vehicle inspections are performed and exceptions are resolved timely.
  • Operating Excellence
    • Manage, direct, and lead all branch functions, including productivity, overtime, service quality, and fleet management.
    • Monitor daily route compliance to ensure routes are performed as designed.
    • Ensure the service fleet operates at a high standard through regular vehicle inspections.
    • Work closely with fleet maintenance providers to ensure optimal vehicle and equipment service.
    • Maintain an on-hand inventory of supplies, tools, and commonly needed equipment.
    • Perform route observations to ensure service quality and safe driving behavior.
  • People Engagement
    • Create an atmosphere of trust and teamwork that values employee contributions and supports a high-performance culture.
    • Engage the team daily to identify issues, provide direction, and offer feedback.
    • Hire high-quality team members and train them effectively.
    • Develop employees, including conducting annual performance appraisals.
  • Business Performance
    • Responsible for the branch P&L and implementation of an annual business plan.
    • Meet monthly revenue goals and stay within budgeted expenses.
    • Participate in special projects and compile reports as needed.

Requirements

  • 3 years of management and/or leadership experience.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
  • Experience managing DOT-regulated drivers and vehicles preferred.
  • 4-year degree in a related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated people skills, decision-making ability, and problem-solving.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and resolve differences.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks resulting in positive solutions.
  • Computer skills; competent in MS Office (Word and Excel).
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
